Hi Lulyjean, it depends what kind of housing grant you’re applying for. If it’s a homebuyer grant, then in some states you may be able to get a government backed mortgage, which is preliminary for getting a downpayment assistance grant, while in other states or counties, it might be difficult (after bankruptcy). But there are many other housing grants like rental assistance, weatherization assistance & minor repairs, home energy & utility bills payment assistance, mortgage reduction assistance etc which have nothing to do with your bankruptcy and you can totally get them

You cannot get a loan after you been discharge from bankruptcy and if so may i still apply for the grant
