Property Insurance for Home Improvement
It can sometimes be hard to receive a loan to do home improvements. But this program allows you to receive a home improvement loan by having HUD pay the loan insurance to your bank.
The loan must be a maximum of $25,000 and be paid over a maximum of 20 years for a single family home project or for building a non-residential structure.
Other requirements exist for other type of housing. HUD through the FHA will insure up to 90% of the loan for you. Please verify the complete requirements with the previous link.
Remember that the loan interest isn't subsidized, only the insurance for the loan is covered by this program.
