Rural Home Repair Grant
There are several housing repair grant and loan programs to assist individuals and families living in rural communities.
Low income families can receive a 1% interest rate loan to improve or repair their rural home from the Rural Development and Housing Agency (part of the USDA). There is also a USDA Rural Housing Preservation Grant available to qualifying individuals, agencies and organizations.
Homeowners 62 and older can also receive free grants to improve their home and maintain it.
