The USDA Mutual Self-Help Housing Loan Program helps low to very low income individuals and families living in rural communities with the construction of their own home. The individual or family must complete 65 percent of the construction and have a qualified supervisor to oversee the construction. To be eligible, you must have a low to very low income and meet other eligibility requirements.
